Stubbing Nature Reserve
Wingerworth Footpath Volunteers, with support from Parish Councillors and volunteers, have cut down the vegetation on Stubbing Nature Reserve and cleared all the grass out of the pond.
The group are hoping to turn the area opposite the pond into a wild flower meadow; the grass having been cut short and scarified prior to seeding and planting, this needs seeding and planting before autumn.
If any residents or visitors would like to contribute to the project the group would welcome donated packets of wild flower seeds or plants or the money equivalent to purchase same.
