If you are looking for something to do over the Easter weekend why not take part in our Easter Treasure Hunt.

There will be some hidden letters and bees in each of our parks in the village.

Simply unscramble the letters and count the number of bees at your local park and email your answers to clerk@wingerworthparishcouncil.gov.uk to be entered into our Free Prize Draw to win one of ten Easter eggs.

Work on the Copse at The Deer Park

Work on the Copse at The Deer Park

Contractors are due to complete some maintenance in the Copse area at The Deer Park over the next few days. This will include clearing some of the brambles and sowing meadow seed. This is the first phase of the project to manage the area to support natural wildlife.

Dog fouling - PSPO

Dog fouling - PSPO

The Parish Council raised the ongoing issue with dog fouling around the village at a meeting with the District Council yesterday.

It was confirmed that dog patrols will recommence next week with officers issuing Fixed Penalty Notices for anyone in breach of the Public Space Protection Order.

Dog Fouling

The Parish Council are continuing to receive complaints about the volume of dog fouling around the village.

North East Derbyshire District Council's Dog Management Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) introduced measures to help enforce responsible dog ownership in public spaces across the North East Derbyshire District.

The district wide PSPO makes it an offence in NEDDC to;
