Councillor Pat Antcliff has resigned from Wingerworth Parish Council due to personal circumstances; as one of our longest serving councillors we are very sorry to see Pat leave. Councillor Antcliff is still a serving District Councillor and the current Chair of North East Derbyshire District Council, and we wish her continued success in this role.

Covid alert level in NE Derbyshire raised to 'High' - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM NEDDC COUNCIL LEADER
I am writing to confirm that, due to the current rate of Covid 19 infection and the increasing number of cases across North East Derbyshire, the District has been placed into the HIGH level of restrictions (tier 2 on the Covid levels of alert).

At the Parish Council meeting held on 8 October 2020, the Council took the difficult decision to cancel all Council organised public events due to take place during 2020 during the COVID-19 crisis.
The only exceptions to this will be Remembrance Day where a limited programme is planned; subject to government guidance, further details will follow.
